GN New Chem Delivers Successful On-Site Chemical Trial for Australian Customer

Before the field visit, our engineers reviewed the customer’s operating conditions, existing treatment process and performance requirements. Based on this information, the technical team selected a suitable chemical program and prepared a structured testing plan. The objective was not simply to compare individual products, but to evaluate the complete treatment performance under actual site conditions, including chemical response, solids separation, process stability and compatibility with the customer’s existing operation.

During the on-site trial, GN New Chem engineers worked closely with the customer’s technical and operations personnel. Representative samples were tested under controlled conditions, and key variables such as chemical type, dosage, mixing conditions and separation behavior were carefully evaluated. The trial results showed that the GN New Chem chemical program delivered better overall performance than the chemical product currently used at the site.

The improved results were clearly observed in the separation process. The selected GN chemical program promoted more effective solids conditioning and aggregation, enabling faster and more stable solid-liquid separation. The treated material also showed improved clarification and separation behavior, providing a stronger basis for subsequent mechanical processing. The performance achieved during the trial was highly recognized by the customer and further strengthened their confidence in GN New Chem’s technical capabilities and product quality.

In addition to the chemical program, the customer has also placed an order for a GN decanter centrifuge. This creates an important opportunity to combine GN’s chemical expertise with its established equipment capabilities.

Chemical conditioning and mechanical separation are closely connected. Even high-performance separation equipment may not achieve its full potential if the feed material is not properly conditioned. Similarly, a suitable chemical program must be matched with the correct equipment configuration and operating parameters to deliver consistent results. By coordinating the chemical formulation with centrifuge operating conditions, GN can help improve separation efficiency, stabilize equipment performance, reduce unnecessary chemical consumption and support more reliable continuous operation.

This project reflects GN’s integrated service model: chemicals, equipment and process support working together as one coordinated solution. Rather than supplying a standalone product, GN evaluates the characteristics of the customer’s material, identifies the key treatment challenges, verifies the proposed chemical program through testing and matches it with suitable process equipment.

The successful Australian field trial also demonstrates the importance of direct technical engagement. Actual process conditions can differ significantly from laboratory simulations. On-site testing allows our engineers to observe operational variables in real time, communicate directly with the customer’s team and optimize the treatment program according to changing feed and process conditions.

GN New Chem will continue to work closely with the customer during the equipment delivery, commissioning and application stages. Our technical team will support the integration of the chemical program with the GN decanter centrifuge to help the customer achieve stable separation performance and greater operational value.

Through the coordinated application of specialized chemicals, advanced separation equipment and professional technical services, GN New Chem and GN Solids Control remain committed to delivering practical, efficient and customer-specific solutions for clients worldwide.
